The Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator (30 hour) class focuses on the principles and fundamentals of the Orton-Gillingham Approach.
In conjunction with the Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator Class, this course will satisfy the 60 hours of the coursework requirement at the Associate Level of certification with The Orton-Gillingham Academy.
This workshop focuses on gaining a better understanding of psychological testing. The class will help teachers better understand the underlying processing issues of students with dyslexia by examining testing instruments such as the WISC-V and various achievement tests.
This class will look at distinct time periods in which English underwent changes as well as the impact these changes had on pronunciation, vocabulary, and spelling. The course will focus on the elements and characteristics of each then layer with specific instruction on morphology.
This workshop is geared for practitioners working in one-on-one tutoring settings. In the Lesson Planning and Implementation workshop, attendees will use informal evaluations to determine where to begin with a student.
